Every summer, some of the best teams in the region head to US Youth Soccer Far West Regionals to compete for their chance to move on and battle for the National Championship. Playing a big role in that is the 200+ referees who were also selected to attend the regional event, this year held in Boise, ID. At the event, they took part in top-quality countless games, field sessions, and classroom training on various topics from PRO and FIFA referee coaches. Of the 200, 24 referees (and 6 referee coaches) were present representing Cal North.
Following strong performances, Cal North had fantastic representation on the Regional Finals, and an impressive six referees selected for Nationals.
