Cal North Referee Robert Vincze was selected by U.S. Soccer to be part of a multi-pronged exchange program with the Japanese Football Association. The exchange featured National referees from the USA and Japan, as well as FIFA referees from the USA, who participated in either the J-League, Sanix Cup, and/or Dallas Cup.
One of four National Officials selected, Vincze flew to Fukuoka, Japan in March to work Sanix Cup matches alongside officials from Hong Kong and Japan. In addition to refereeing matches, the group participated in technical sessions, and even ventured off the pitch to take a cultural visit to the city of Kyoto.
We look forward to Robert bringing back new knowledge from his Japanese counterparts and sharing it with officials locally!
