CNRA is pleased to announce a significant expansion of referee development opportunities for soccer officials in Northern California. Coinciding with the appointment of Turan Ozdemir to the new position of Referee Development Manager, CNRA will now begin offering additional opportunities for officials to continue to increase their knowledge and improve their performance on the pitch.
In addition to the monthly web-based technical seminars hosted by CNRA each month, officials will also have the opportunity to test their knowledge with monthly video quizzes hosted on the CNRA website. Around the 15 th of each month, a new video quiz will be posted to the CNRA website, with the results of the quiz and notes about each decision provided to the participant immediately upon submission.
For officials participating in the Advanced and Youth Referee Programs, we’re pleased to announce we’ve added four additional in-person development opportunities in the months of November and December, bringing the total number of events from November 2 – December 15 to seven tournaments. Advanced and Youth Referee Program participants selected for these seven events in November and December will have the opportunity to officiate games at all different levels at Cal North and NorCal tournaments, where they will receive dedicated coaching from CNRA technical staff and referee coach/mentors. Participants in the Advanced and Youth Referee Programs should expect to receive applications for these events in mid-September.
Looking ahead to 2025, CNRA is planning a total of 16 in-person referee development events for officials in the Advanced and Youth Referee Programs, nearing doubling the number of events originally planned for 2024. An updated 2024 CNRA event calendar can be viewed here, and a 2025 calendar of events will be released in early November.

La CNRA Amplía el Equipo de Desarrollo Arbitral
La CNRA se alegra en anunciar significante expansión de oportunidades para el desarrollo de árbitros de futbol en California del norte. Coincidiendo con el nombramiento de Turan Ozdemir como el nuevo gerente de desarrollo arbitral, la CNRA hoy comienza a ofrecer oportunidades adicionales para que árbitros continúen aumentando sus conocimientos y mejorando su rendimiento en el terreno de juego.
Además de los seminarios mensuales organizados por la CNRA en la red, árbitros también tendrán la oportunidad de poner a prueba sus conocimientos con cuestionarios mensuales de video en el sitio de la CNRA. Alrededor del quince de cada mes, un nuevo cuestionario de video será publicado en el sitio de la CNRA, y los resultados de cada situación se proporcionarán al participante después de someter sus respuestas.
